Michael Vagianos, BSAST ’83
A firm believer in lifelong learning, Michael Vagianos's educational journey began in 1969 as a Navy machinist. Michael's experience working in the engine room on a Destroyer sparked his interest in the machinery and maintenance of aircrafts. The G.I. Bill enabled Michael to pursue his education.
After serving in the Navy, Michael served as Chief Inspector at AT&T, where he oversaw the maintenance and inspection of seven aircrafts. To further pursue his passion, Michael sought out Thomas Edison State University to complete his degree. Currently, he holds the position of Chief of Maintenance and Manager of Aviation at one of the most prestigious private airports in New Jersey. Michael is grateful for the lasting impact his degree has on his career. He believes in giving back to support the University's mission and its students.
