Dr. Harry Carter, BA ’75
The year was 1975, only three years after the University opened its doors, and 28-year-old Harry Carter was eager to receive his degree. He was able to apply his education and advance his career as a captain of the Newark Fire Department.
Harry's degree was just the beginning of a long and distinguished academic and professional career. He completed his Master of Arts degree in Public Policy Analysis in 1979 and went on to earn his Doctor of Philosophy degree in Organization and Management.
In addition to his distinguished academic portfolio, Harry has authored nearly 3,000 magazine and journal articles, published fourteen texts spoken at conferences both nationally and internationally and has received numerous awards and recognition as a fire service instructor.
