Cole Paulk, BSAST '16

Having been a recipient of a military scholarship on behalf of the Thomas Edison State University Foundation, Crawford ‘Cole’ Paulk, BSAST ’16, saw philanthropy in action.

Needing just a small amount to complete his degree ahead of his discharge from the U.S. Navy, Paulk was given the award to round out his time at the University and complete his degree without financial stress. The flexibility that immediate use scholarships offer allow for seamless disbursement to students who demonstrate a financial need, relieving them of the burden instantly.

“I really wanted to make a smooth transition out of the military and getting my bachelor’s degree was the best way to do that and the best way to start my new career,” said Paulk.

Paulk, who earned his Bachelor of Science in Applied Science and Technology degree in Electronic Energy Engineering Technology, says that the scholarship allowed him to finish his courses and pursue his dream of becoming an Electronics Engineer upon his separation from military service.
